1. Scope and who we are

This Privacy Policy applies only to Pregnancy Test Scanner Checker on Android and iOS (package and bundle ID com.anmolk12345.pregnancytestscanner). The app is developed and published by Anmol Kulshreshtha (“the developer,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

The app uses artificial intelligence to help you read a photo of a home pregnancy test, and offers a cycle tracker, test-date guidance, line progression and a week-by-week pregnancy guide. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose pregnancy or any condition. Cycle and fertility predictions are estimates and are not a method of birth control.

2. Information the app handles

Test photos you choose to analyse

When an AI reading is generated, the app sends the cropped photo of your test, the test brand you selected (if any), your approximate cycle day (if you use the cycle tracker) and your language to Firebase AI Logic, which uses Google’s Gemini models (Gemini Developer API), so a reading can be returned. Photos are processed on your device first (cropping, quality checks). Camera and photo-library access happen only when you use the scanner and grant the device permission.

App and device integrity information

Firebase App Check may process technical signals about the app, installation, device and request integrity to confirm that requests come from a legitimate copy of the app and to prevent abuse of the AI service.

Purchase and subscription information

RevenueCat processes subscription status, purchase history, product identifiers, entitlement information and a randomly generated anonymous App User ID. Google Play processes Android payments and the Apple App Store processes iOS payments. We do not receive your payment-card number.

Information we do not request

The app has no developer-operated account. We do not ask for your email address or password. If you enter a first name during onboarding, it is stored only on your device and used to personalise the app. We do not sell personal information.

3. Cycle, fertility and pregnancy information

If you use the tracker, the app stores the dates of your periods, days you log intercourse, your average cycle and period length, and pregnancy-tracking details (such as last period date and due date) only on your device. This information is used to show your calendar, cycle day, predictions, test dates and pregnancy week. It is not uploaded to the developer or used for advertising.

Your onboarding answers (for example age range, cycle regularity, birth-control use and whether you are trying to conceive) are stored on your device to personalise guidance. The multiple-choice choice you select for each onboarding question is also recorded in analytics (see section 4), without your name and without dates.

4. Analytics and app diagnostics

The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used and to find problems. It collects app interactions (for example screens viewed, onboarding progress and the option chosen for each onboarding question, scans started and completed, features used, paywall views and purchase steps), error types, an app-instance identifier, device and app version, and approximate location derived from your IP address. RevenueCat also sends purchase and subscription events to Google Analytics, linked by the same app-instance identifier.

Analytics data is used only for analytics and app improvement. The app does not collect the advertising identifier, does not show ads, does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and does not use analytics for advertising. Test photos, AI readings, period dates, intercourse dates and pregnancy dates are not sent to analytics.

5. How information is used

The developer does not train AI models using your photos. Google’s processing of content submitted to its services is governed by its applicable terms and privacy documentation.

6. Service providers and sharing

We share information only with providers needed to operate the app, or when required by law:

RevenueCat

RevenueCat processes anonymous identifiers, products, purchases, subscriptions and entitlements.

We do not share your photos, cycle data or pregnancy data with data brokers or advertisers.

7. Permissions

You can change permissions in your device settings. Disabling a permission may stop the related feature from working.

8. Retention and deletion

Scan history, tracker data, onboarding answers and preferences stay on your device until you delete them in the app (Settings → Clear history, or Cycle settings → Delete all tracker data), clear the app’s storage, or uninstall the app. Device backup settings (for example Android backup) may keep copies controlled by Google or your device manufacturer.

Data processed by Google/Firebase and RevenueCat is kept according to their configuration and retention practices. Google Analytics event data is kept for up to 14 months. Purchase records may be kept for accounting, fraud prevention or legal reasons.

To request access to or deletion of information held by the app’s service providers, email anmolsoftwaredeveloper@gmail.com with “Pregnancy Test Scanner privacy request” in the subject.

9. Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted HTTPS connections and Firebase App Check. Tracker data never leaves your device unless your device backup copies it. No method is completely secure.

10. International processing

Google/Firebase and RevenueCat may process information in countries other than yours, under the transfer safeguards described in their policies.

11. Children’s privacy

The app is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child used the app can contact us.

12. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of personal information, and to complain to a data-protection authority. Contact us using the email below.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app, providers or legal requirements change. The current version stays at this URL and the “Last updated” date shows the latest revision.
